Letter #17

This week was pretty eventful.  We had the mission tour this week, which was where a general authority comes out to check out the mission.  One day, he came and met with all of the missionaries in the north half of the mission, and the next day, he did the same meeting with the south half of the mission.  And it was a really long meeting.  We got there at 8:00, and it was over at around 4:00.  That is an entire P-day in length.  President Weaver was pretty stressed out about it all week, because last year, the mission tour wasn't so great, because the missionaries weren't really ready for it, and I guess they mostly just got yelled at the whole time.  But this one was good.  We had Elder Pieper from the Seventy come up, and he was pretty nice.  He gave us training on different things, and shook all of our hands, and then we left.  And that was our whole Wednesday.  Haha, it was a relief to be done with that, because everyone who was here for the last one was so strung up about it.

Yesterday was also the Hastening the Work of Salvation worldwide broadcast.  That was pretty fun to watch.  We still do a bunch of tracting, and our mission president puts a lot of emphasis on that, so it was interesting to hear the general authorities talk about how we shouldn't be doing as much of that.  Also, it will be interesting to see what happens with the social media that will be introduced more into the missions.

Also last night was a musical fireside that our mission does.  We were out in Puyallup for that, so that was the first and last time I will be out there.  That is about to be a part of the Federal Way mission next week.  It was sorta a sad little reunion, because that will be the last time that we'll get to see those guys.

I had an exchange this last week, so that was pretty fun.  I went to the Wapato Park ward for a day with the Zone Leaders, and we went tracting, and studied together and fun stuff like that.  It was pretty fun because the ZL areas have 4 people in them, and it's way more fun than living with one other person.

And that's mostly all that we did this last week.  Not too exciting, but we do have a baptism this next week for Chandea.  So that's pretty exciting.  Teaching kids is always fun, because they're so innocent.  But anyway, I love you all!  I'll talk to you later.  Bye
