Letter #46

Okay, so this week was really great.  We were able to have a couple of baptisms in the ward this week, which was super awesome.  Their mom is a returned missionary, and recently decided that she wanted to start coming back to church, and the dad doesn't really want to yet, but he showed up to the baptism, so that was really awesome.  Elder Toomey baptized them both, and I did the confirmations.  One of the kids was 8 and the other was 9, but the bishop said we could do both of the confirmations fontside so we weren't awkwardly doing one of them during the baptism and the other in front of the ward the next day.  So it was nice that the dad got to see them both done too.  It was really good.
And then on Sunday, our dinner was with the RS president, who google stalked me to find my home phone number so she could ask mom what to make me for a birthday dinner.  She was like the only member who found out that it was my birthday last week (because she picks up our mail), and so she decided to take it upon herself to make it a good birthday.  So like, I guess the dinner of choice was enchiladas, which I don't think I would've come up with on my own, but I can't really think of anything better either, so that was a good choice.  My video journal covers it in more detail, but it's the first one on my card that I just barely got back, so you guys probs won't see it for a while.
And then yesterday for P day, we went to the beach!  That was like the best thing I've done since being in Aberdeen.  It was pretty cold and windy and stuff, and not much exciting happened there, but it was awesome to hang out there.  We found 4 whole sand dollars, and a couple of decent shells.  And that's like super rare.
Anyway, those were the highlights of this week, and my internet time is about to run out.  I love you guys!  Talk to you later.
