Well,
this is going to be a pretty short email this week, since I had a bunch
of people email me that I had to respond to. It was a really great
week though, since we had our zone conference and a fireside (which I
thought was next week). We also found several new people to teach,
which was super exciting.
First
of all, zone conference was actually a mission tour, since we had a
general authority come. Elder Snow was in the mission for 3 days. We
had our conference with him on Tuesday, which was really cool. He was
very complimentary towards our mission as a whole, and gave us a bunch
of trainings. He also told all of us to prepare a 5 minute talk on
faith, and a few of us would present them in the conference, MTC
sacrament meeting style, but I didn't have to give one, but during
lunch, our mission president told me that he had put my name on the list
of people to give their talks, but we ran out of time early. So I was
actually kinda glad about that. It was a really good experience though,
and I'm glad we had it.
On
Sunday, we had a missionary musical fireside in Sequim, so we got to
drive way up north to the top of Washington, which I had never done
before. my companion thinks that we saw Canada from there, but I'm not
sure whether we did or not. At any rate, it is way out in the country
next to Twilight land. A bunch of people from the Port Angeles stake
came over to see it, and it was actually probably the best one that I've
been to so far. We also had my old bishop from Poulsbo there, and
someone that I knew in Kingston, so it was kinda cool seeing some old
familiar faces too.
And I
am actually all out of time now, so this is as much as I'm going to be
able to send, but it was a really great week :) We have transfers next
week, so don't send any more mail to my current address until I find out
if I'm staying or not.
